About Noodl
Noodl is a gentle, free Android to-do and focus app for ADHD brains. It was built by a solo developer who got tired of task apps that punish you for being human.
Why Noodl exists
Most task apps were designed for people whose brains run on willpower and consistency. Open one after a hard week and you're greeted by a red "OVERDUE" tag, a broken streak, and a dead tree. The shame loop kicks in. You delete the app.
Noodl doesn't do that. There's no red anywhere. There's no streak to break. Tasks you missed yesterday quietly move to a "Revisit" bucket labeled "Ready when you are" — not "OVERDUE."
What's in it
- Quick text capture (zero setup, three seconds from tap to saved task)
- Today / Uncategorized / Revisit — three places where tasks live, no more
- A focus timer with a "jot a thought" button (parks distracting thoughts without breaking flow)
- Cumulative focus minutes — the hero metric. Only grows. Never resets.
- A nightly auto-reschedule that quietly forgives missed days
- Full dark mode, reduced motion support, TalkBack labels, dynamic font scaling
What's not in it
- No accounts. No sign-up. No cloud sync.
- No ads. No in-app purchases. No subscription.
- No AI deciding what's important for you.
- No red anywhere. No "OVERDUE." No streaks.
Privacy
Everything stays on your device in a local Room database. The only data that leaves is anonymous, opt-in Firebase Analytics and crash reports — both of which you can turn off in settings.
About the developer
Noodl is built by Sahil, a solo Android developer. The app started as a personal frustration: every other to-do app made bad days worse. So I built one that doesn't.
You can reach me with bugs, feature requests, or just to say hi through the in-app feedback form (Settings → Send feedback) or via the Play Store.
